Roving (3)
Cherry Creek Farm's bulk rovings are very soft and clean and all naturally colored. But if it is your pleasure, they dye easily and beautifully!

New this summer - custom blends of 85% Icelandic and 15% Alpaca fiber. I know you're going to LOVE this combination - extremely soft and spins like a dream.

Currently I am having all of my fiber processed at Spring Too Fibers Kiowa Colorado.  They use "green" methods to wash the fiber which is then picked, carded, and combed to make a superior product.

Please
contact me for the shipping costs for the quantity you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.

Handspun Yarns (7)

Iceland is best known for their wool around the world.  The Icelandic sheep's wool is of a dual character: a fine soft undercoat (thel) & a long coarser coat (tog).

Their fiber is extremely soft to begin with and after washing & wearing, the wool "blooms" & becomes even softer.

First the raw wool is processed into roving, where extra steps are taken to make a superior product--a knitter's or weavers's dream.  Cherry Creek Farm's very own artisan spins the roving into a 2 ply Sport Weight yarn and sets the twist in the farm's certified organic lavender water. Why lavender? It has been used for centuries, as a natural moth (and other insect) repellent, not to mention it's fresh, relaxing scent.

Our handspun is available in Adult, Lamb, Combination, Premium & Novelty, as indicated. Novelty Yarn is irregular in size, somewhat chunky, thick and thin and absolutely unique for that special project.

NEW this summer - custom blends of Icelandic and Alpaca fiber - soooooo soft. If you've never worked with this blend, you are in for a surprise! You'll love it!!

Please contact me for the shipping costs for the quantity you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.

Icelandic Millspun Yarn (1)
Our 2 ply Sport Weight yarn is processed at a wonderful "green" Colorado Mill, Mt. High Fiber Ladies, Pagosa Springs, where extra steps are employed to make a superior product--a knitter's or weaver's dream--free of vegetative matter.

Only a limited supply of our roving was made into millspun, so make sure you order a little extra when planning your next project.

Please contact me for the shipping costs for the quantity you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.
Polypay/Finn/Dorset Lamb Skins (3)
SOLD OUT - PLEASE CHECK BACK....

Allow me to introduce my neighboring Whitney Ranch's premium lamb pelts! Polypay/Finn/Dorset lambs. These lamb skins are very think, heavy, and healthy!

Through my 8 years of shepherding, I have met a number of neighboring small ranchers raising premium animals naturally and felt they would really benefit by listing their quality sheep products on the internet. It's how I started marketing and have been successful. Since they don't have the computer experience or just don't have the time to learn, I am placing a few of their products in my store & who knows, maybe Cherry Creek Farm will evolve to be a cooperative force in helping small ranchers. And as always, thank you for your business.

Whitney Ranch's pelts are tanned to be washable by the fine folks at Buck's County Fur Products in PA. Washing instructions included.

Please contact me for the shipping costs for the quantity you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.

Pelts are sent USPS Insured Priority Mail.

Cherry Creek Farm Publications (1)
While in my spare time, I've been known to write lots of information down. I spent considerable time a few years ago, finally collecting all of my notes and compiling an Icelandic Sheep Owner's manual of sorts, which I now offer to you here.

Stay tuned for my children's book to be finished telling of the real life adventures of all of the animals on the farm and their amazing capacity to get along despite their differences.
Purebred Icelandic Raw Fleeces (0)

SOLD OUT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE CHECK BACK...

Natural colors in every shade that you might imagine. Soft yet strong. Hand spinner or felter's dream.

Cherry Creek Farm is proud to offer some of our premium fleeces, FOR THE FIRST TIME!

Heavily skirted with very little vegetative matter.

If I could only put "jackets" on the sheep to keep them totally clean, but Icelandic fiber felts extremely easily (which is why this breed is loved by felters) so jackets are out of the question.     The Icelandic breed is known for being very low in lanolin so their fleece is ideal to spin "in the grease", as many hand spinners prefer to do to get a custom colored yarn. I have made note of the fleeces that are exceptionally clean and low in lanolin that are ideal for spinning in the grease.

I hope you enjoy working with these uniquely different fleeces for your individual project.

Please contact me for the shipping costs for the fleece(s) you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.

Purebred Icelandic Bulk Raw Wool (0)

SOLD OUT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE CHECK BACK...

Bulk Icelandic raw wool in different colors is now available for sweaters, socks, blankets, felting, or whatever bigger or multiple projects that you have in mind. I am trying to catch up on my wool processing (when you shear 70+ sheep twice a year, you have an admirable quantity to offer) and at the request of many of my customers, I decided to make available some of the raw wool in bulk.

I have only briefly sorted through this wool, so you will definitely find grass hay. The shearer does a pretty good job of separating the belly and face hair and second cuts. With some effort on your part, though, after scouring, you will have beautiful Icelandic fiber for your project, at a very reasonable price.  Since Icelandic fiber felts VERY EASILY (that feature is loved by my felting customers), use very little to no agitation when washing the fiber.

Please contact me for the shipping costs for the quantity you'd like along with your zip code and your Paypal e-mail address. I will then send you an invoice which you can submit payment for the total amount due including postage. Thank you.
